A downloadable app for Windows and Linux

Download NowName your own price

This is an app used to show you a slideshow of randomized images for reference in drawing practice. For example you might be studying how to draw hands, and have this app show you random images of hands.

It's similar in usage to the site Line of Action , but it's designed to use images that you have saved to a drive on your PC.

This app is made with the Godot game engine.

Usage

The basic usage of the app is that you create one or more "tags" which are like categories of images.    You can then associate any number of folders containing images (the app will search the directories recursively) or individual image files with each tag.

Then, select settings for your drawing session, and click Draw to start your session.

The images will advance automatically for the specified lengths of time. You can pause and resume the timer as needed.

Obtaining images

You can use any image that is saved to any drive/volume on your machine.

An example image pack is provided with 30 images. You can create tags in the app named after the subdirectories ("dog" and "human" to try out the app).

I recommend the following sites for finding reference images. Some artists on Artstation especially sell large reference photo packs.

Credits for the example images is provided in a .txt file alongside the images.  All the images have a license that allows redistribution.
